Inviting users

Procedure for manually creating user accounts in Forra. Available only when the tenant is in Invite-only mode.

Prerequisites

  • Provisioning mode: Invite-only (Advanced tab).
  • Available seats (visible on the card at the top of the Users tab).

Send an invitation

  1. Users tab.
  2. Click Invite.
  3. Enter one or more email addresses.
  4. Choose the initial role: User, Skills Developer, or Organization Administrator.
  5. Send.

Each invitee receives an email with a sign-up link. Until they accept, the invitation appears in the users list with status Pending.

Manage pending invitations

Click on a Pending invitation row to open its details. From this view, you can:

  • Resend the invitation (useful if the email did not arrive).
  • Revoke the invitation. The link becomes invalid.

Change a user's role

  1. Users tab → click on the user's row.
  2. Change role button.
  3. Choose the new role and confirm.

The available roles:

  • User — can use Forra, create assistants and conversations.
  • Skills Developer — can create and publish global skills.
  • Organization Administrator — manages the tenant settings and users.

In IDP_MANAGED mode, this change is not persistent: the role is restored on each synchronization based on the IdP groups. For a permanent change, modify group membership on the IdP side.

Deactivate / reactivate a user

On a user's profile, Deactivate removes their access to the application without deleting their data (conversations, assistants, etc.). Reactivate restores access.

A deactivated user frees up their seat.

Notes

  • In INVITE_ONLY mode, a user who signs in via SSO without having been invited sees an error message — this is not a bug.
  • In OPEN mode, the Invite button does not appear: the user just needs to sign in via SSO to get an account.
